The European Football Confederation (EFC) has announced that action will be taken to rescue footballers in Ukraine.

The Champions League football tournament between European club teams is taking place in various countries. The final was announced to take place on May 28 in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Russia’s war on Ukraine has prompted the European Football Association’s emergency executive committee to hold the Champions League final against Russia in the French capital, Paris. The decision was based on a referendum.
Until further notice, the clubs of Russia and Ukraine and the national teams of that country will play in a common venue.
In a statement, the European Football Confederation (EFC) expressed its gratitude and appreciation to French President Emmanuel Macron for his personal support and commitment to the transition of the prestigious Champions League to European football at this critical juncture.
The European Football Confederation (EFC), along with the French government, will extend its fullest support to efforts to rescue footballers and their families from Ukraine. Thus it is stated.
