jpnn.com – JAKARTA – PSSI has taken the decision to fire Shin Tae-yong from the chair of coach of the Indonesian National Team which he has occupied for 5 years.

PSSI’s decision was based on long and careful consideration and evaluation by PSSI and the National Team Body (BTN).

PSSI plans to use the services of a coach from the Netherlands after ending cooperation with Shin Tae-yong.

There is widespread news that the replacement coach who was born on October 11 1970 has coaching experience and previously played in the Dutch national team.

Several names circulating include Patrick Kluivert, Marco van Basten, Frank Rijkaard, and Ruud Gullit.

PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir said that one of the names mentioned was a candidate for the new Indonesian National Team coach, a replacement for STY.

“Indeed, one of the candidates I interviewed was mentioned earlier (Patrick Kluivert), but instead of guessing, I said that on the 11th to 12th there was a press conference at 4 o’clock,” said Erick Thohir when met in the Gambir area, Jakarta, Monday (6 /1/2025).

It is not an exaggeration if PSSI actually wants to use the services of a coach from the Netherlands.

PSSI immediately announced the replacement for the Indonesian National Team coach, Shin Tae-yong alias STY, who had been fired.
