The direction of the wind is changing in the upper part of the atmosphere in Tamil Nadu. Due to this, there will be thundershowers and light rain in a few places in Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Karaikal on the 2nd.

Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Theni, Dindigul, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Erode, Salem, Namakkal, Karur and Thiruvannamalai districts are likely to receive heavy showers at one or two places. Showers or thundershowers will occur at some places in Chennai. The maximum temperature may be around 104 degrees Fahrenheit. Thus stated in the press release.
