The Chennai Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rains in Kumari, Nellai, Tenkasi, Virudhunagar and Theni districts today due to the downpour.

13.2.2022 (Today): Light to moderate showers with thundershowers will occur at one or two places in southern Tamil Nadu districts, Pudukottai, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Cuddalore, Puthuvai and Karaikal. Thundershowers will develop at several places in Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Tenkasi, Virudhunagar and Theni districts. Other districts will experience mostly dry weather.
14.2.2022 (Tomorrow): Light to moderate rain is likely in one or two places in southern Tamil Nadu districts. The rest of the districts and parts of Puduvai Karaikal are mostly dry.
15.7.2022: From 17.02.2022: Mostly dry weather in Tamil Nadu and Puthuvai and Karaikal areas.
Chennai: The sky will be partly cloudy over Chennai for the next 48 hours. The maximum temperature will be around 31 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be around 23 degrees Celsius.
Fishermen warned: Strong winds of 30 to 40 kmph are likely along the southern coast of Tamil Nadu, Kumari Sea, Maldives, South Kerala and Lakshadweep. The Chennai Meteorological Department said that fishermen going to these areas are advised to proceed with caution.
