The Chinese Chang’e-5 probe has successfully completed its moon landing operations. This was reported by the Chinese space agency CNSA (China’s National Space Administration), providing the latest updates on the mission which aims to collect, among other things, numerous samples of the Moon’s surface. China is on its way to being the third country in the world, after the US and Russia, to have material from the Earth to study. The last such mission dates back to 1976 and was the Soviet Luna 24.
