The categories of two companies listed on the capital market have been changed. The two companies are Rupali Bank Plc and Emerald Oil Limited. On Thursday (May 2), this information was revealed by Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchange (DSE-CSE).
Rupali Bank: The company has been upgraded from ‘B’ to ‘Z’ category. After reviewing the audited financial report for the financial year ended December 31, 2023 (January-December), the Board of Directors of the company has declared non-payment of dividend to the shareholders. That is why the company has come down from ‘B’ to ‘Z’ category. No loan shall be given in respect of the transaction of shares of the Company. This decision will be implemented from Thursday.
Emerald Oil: The company has been upgraded from ‘B’ to ‘A’ category. After reviewing the audited financial report for the financial year ended June 30, 2023 (July-June), the Board of Directors of the company has paid 10 percent cash dividend to the common investors. Hence the company will be upgraded from ‘B’ to ‘A’ category. This decision of the company will be effective from May 5.
