With these values, gasoline surpasses diesel for the first time since the week of August 8, 2022, half a year ago, when the first cost 1.66 euros per liter and the second 1.654, both with the 20-cent bonus from the Government already applied.
There was some uncertainty about the effect that the EU ban on diesel imports from Russia – in force since February 5 – would have, with some experts predicting that it would become more expensive.
However, in the first week of prohibition, this fuel has become cheaper by 3%, compared to 1.3% that gasoline has fallen.
More expensive than a year ago
Despite this fall, both fuels continue to be more expensive than just a year ago, specifically 3.7% in the case of gasoline and 11.4% dieselalthough it should be remembered that the prices of August 2022 had a bonus of 20 cents per liter.
Currently, gasoline is at levels of the second week of August 2022, in the middle of the second phase of the summer exit operation, when 1.66 euros per liter was paid with the discount applied.
