In some videos and photographs shared on social media, a considerable influx of people can be seen on Line 7, as they wait for the arrival or departure of trains.

Some users also reported slow train movement and waiting times of more than 10 minutes between stations.

Injured person

Apparently, the delays and the influx of people caused a user to injure her foot when trying to enter a car at the Tacubaya station. The woman had to be taken out of the place on a stretcher. In response to this, the CDMX Metro account said that it cut off the power to assist the user.

“There was a power cut on Line 7 to help a person whose foot was stuck. The user was assessed by the Metro’s Industrial Safety and Hygiene personnel. Please respect the yellow safety line and avoid distractions when a train arrives or departs. At the moment, trains are running continuously,” the public transport company said.

They later confirmed that the trains were able to move more quickly after the person was assisted.
