Charge: Murdered his friend by stabbing because of an argument over a financial debt

Tomer Buzaglo, 45, of Migdal Haemek, was charged last weekend with stabbing to death his 35-year-old friend Stanislav Kushnir for a financial debt, police announced today (Sunday). According to the findings of the investigation, Buzaglo arrived at Kushnir’s apartment in the Galilee landscape in early October after a WhatsApp correspondence between the two. They were arguing – and suddenly Buzaglo pulled out a knife and stabbed Kushnir to death, according to police.

On 08/10/21, at 21:50, a report was received at the Israel Police Hotline 100 about an attack on Rabbi Buskila Street in Migdal HaEmek, during which a man in his 30s was fatally injured and was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police forces, accompanied by a mobile laboratory, rushed to the scene, closed the arena and began collecting the findings.

Following an initial situation assessment, the homicide investigation was assigned to the Serious Crime Fighting Unit in the Valleys area, who continued to investigate and collect the findings and began collecting evidence. Subsequently, the findings found at the scene were sent for laboratory tests.

The investigation revealed that Buzaglo and Kushnir had known each other for some time before the murder. Defendant arrived at the victim in the evening after delivering correspondence and conversations on WhatsApp in which Buzaglo demanded that Kushnir meet in private. Towards 22:00, an argument broke out between the deceased and the defendant over a financial dispute, when Buzaglo suddenly pulled out a knife and stabbed Kushnir to death.

After a thorough investigation by the staff of the unit for the fight against serious crime in the Valleys area, the investigation materials were transferred to the Northern District Attorney’s Office, which formulated an evidentiary basis against the suspect for murder and disruption of the investigation. Today, the Northern District Attorney’s Office filed an indictment against him and a request for his detention until the end of the proceedings.
