The accused tried to incite the deterioration of law and order among the students of Newmarket and Dhaka Colleges by defaming Mayor Fazle Noor Tapas by publishing false and baseless information by posting and live on Facebook, which is prima facie proved as an offense under Section 25/29/31/35 of the Digital Security Act 2018. .

On April 28, 2022, a case was registered against anonymous Facebook users under the Digital Security Act at the Shahbag police station. Then on January 2, the police arrested Chhatra League leader Fahim.

Besides, the video is broadcast from a page named Ilyas Hossain Media. In the videos published on these Facebook pages and IDs, false, baseless, defamatory and ugly information is posted.
