Weimers, who is number one on the list, already sits today in the EU Parliament for SD. He was recruited by the party from the Christian Democrats in 2018.
He points out that SD wants to see a new EU strategy for Sweden.
– By no longer writing in the constitution that Sweden should join the EU, we show that Sweden is flexible and stands on its own two feet.
– We show that we are prepared to put hard against hard, he says.
In the last EU election, SD got three seats in the parliament.

In the 2019 EU elections, Charlie Weimers, Jessica Stegrud and Peter Lundgren were elected. Lundgren became a political wild in 2022 and Jessica Stegrud was replaced by Johan Nissinen when she was elected to the Riksdag in 2022.
