Charterfeber Soars in New Season Premiere, Witnessing Record Viewership on Viaplay and TV3

by time news

On Tuesday, the new season of “Charterfeber” premiered on Viaplay and TV3. In the new season, viewers will get a reunion with Svein Østvik, known as Charter-Svein, who makes a charter comeback.

Today, media conglomerate Viaplay reports that 66,000 viewers tuned in for the premiere of what is season 12 of the series on TV3. This is an increase from 56,000 viewers for season eleven, which premiered in 2020.

In addition to solid linear numbers, the premiere achieved the best “Charterfeber” viewer numbers ever on the streaming service Viaplay. However, Viaplay does not disclose viewer numbers from the streaming service, but states that nearly three times as many people gave the Charterfeber crew a chance now compared to the previous premiere in 2020.

– We knew there was a great demand for Charterfeber out there, and it’s one of the series people most often ask us to make more of. But such a start was something very few of us dared to hope for, says the program editor at Viaplay Group, Jonas Møller.

According to Viaplay, only Paradise Hotel has had better viewer numbers than yesterday’s Charterfeber episode in the first 24 hours.

– It has only just begun, but I have so much love for these participants for what they have delivered in this year’s season. I can’t wait for the rest of Norway to follow the crew further, because we have just barely tasted Irish on our tongues, says Møller.
