India’s Charvi Anilkumar and Subhi Gupta have created a record by winning gold in the World Cadet 2022 Chess Tournament.
8-year-old Sarvi from Karnataka won the gold in the under-8 women’s chess tournament in Georgia, defeating Pothana from England in a tie-breaker with 9.5 points. India’s Safin won bronze in the U-8 Open category.
India’s Subhi Gupta (Uttar Pradesh) won gold in women’s U-12 event. So far four Indians have won gold in the 8-18 category. Earlier in the open category Yumparithi and Pranav Anand won gold.
