One dead and two seriously injured. This is the outcome of the terrible road accident which took place during the night from Monday to Tuesday in Paris. According to the first elements, collected from police sources, a BMW series, carrying four people, hit a tree at the Place de la Porte de Bagnolet (20th century). The collision took place while the car was being pursued by a crew from the Seine-Saint-Denis anti-crime brigade.
According to our information, when emergency services arrived, very shortly after the collision around 11:45 p.m., one of the passengers was already unconscious in the vehicle. An hour after the incident, he was pronounced dead by a doctor. Two other injured people, who were still conscious, had to be extricated. They were then transported to Henri-Mondor hospital in Créteil (Val-de-Marne). They were apparently polytraumatized. The fourth occupant of the BMW fled.

It all started around 11:35 p.m. when, again according to a police source, the crew wanted to check the car which was traveling at high speed on the ring road, between Porte de Pantin and Porte des Lilas. The driver of the BMW allegedly refused to comply even though the officials had just activated the flashing lights and the two-tone sound.
The chase lasts a few minutes, from the ring road to Porte de Vincennes via Boulevard Davout. The fugitives would have managed at that time to outrun the police patrol. Until the accident was reported to the police. An investigation was obviously opened. Contacted this Tuesday morning, the Paris prosecutor’s office was not yet able to respond to us.
