NOTICIACRISTIANA.COM.- The Italian data protection authority has announced that ChatGPT, the conversational chatbot, has been blocked because it does not comply with personal data legislation and does not have a system to verify the age of users under the age of age.
The authority also reported that there has been a loss of data in ChatGPT related to user conversations and payment information of subscribers to the service.
The authority has demanded that OpenAI take corrective action within 20 days or face a financial penalty of up to €20 million or 4% of annual global turnover.
The Europol agency has warned about the possible use of ChatGPT by criminals to commit fraud and other cybercrimes, while a group of experts has requested a moratorium on the development of more advanced Artificial Intelligence solutions than current ones.
