Lalitha Chechi had left the film twice. After marrying Bharathettan, he once said that he would not go to the cinema. Chechi was ready to act in my film ‘Aduttaduthu’ after being persuaded by Bharathettan. It was very active till Bharathettan’s separation. When he left this world they went away again saying they would not face the camera. Stayed at home with memories.
When Thilakan Chettan and Lalitha Chechi decided to make a film ‘Chila Veetukaryangal Again’, they decided to do it. But the thought was how to get a simple sis. Bharathettan has nothing to recommend. Finally, he called Chechi’s sons Siddharthan and Sreekutty and told them about it. It’s my movie, I just told my aunt that it’s enough to make you feel like coming home. After a lot of pressure, Chechi agreed to act.
That’s how Chechi came as Mary in that movie and showed the wonder of acting again. Now the simple cheetah is gone. Chechi is not an actress to me. Mom, aunt and girlfriend. With the exception of Lalitha Chechi, there will be nothing left in my film career. It carried me like a crow. Chechi did not come to my film. Just home. My aunt and I clung to each other; always and always. How many scenes, roles …. Chechi came back leaving everything.
