jpnn.com – SACHSENRING – The 9th series of MotoGP 2024, the German MotoGP at the Sachsenring Circuit this weekend is the last chance for Pedro Acosta to become the youngest MotoGP race winner in history.

The record is now held by Marc Marquez; aged 20 years 63 days, at the 2013 MotoGP America.

Acosta, born May 25, 2004. That means Acosta will surpass the age of 20 years and 63 days in the 10th series, the British MotoGP on August 2-4.

There are two major obstacles for KTM rider Acosta to break Marquez’s record.

Firstly, Ducati has been untouchable in the last few races. Ducati has won five of the last six races including sprints.

“It won’t be easy to compete with the Ducati riders. Let’s see what we can do this weekend,” Acosta told the MotoGP crew.

“Yes, it’s nice to have that record, but that’s not our goal here,” he added.

The second obstacle, KTM’s performance has not met expectations, although Acosta is still able to perform impressively.
