Check out the new features coming to Whatsapp!

by time news

Although WhatsApp is the most used messenger worldwide, it still lacks basic basic capabilities, such as a dedicated mode for recording videos. This should change soon.

According to the latest information revealed by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp also wants to equip its application with a new mode dedicated to video while testing a new function that allows multiple devices to be connected to the same account.

WhatsApp will soon have its own video mode

Until now, clicking the camera icon within a conversation was the only way to record a video on WhatsApp. A new interface displays, giving you the option to take a snapshot with a tap or record a video by keeping your finger on the shutter. This may not always be practical, so eventually WhatsApp will add a video mode similar to what’s available in the built-in camera app on your smartphone.

You don’t need to hold your finger on the button to take a video anymore because of this new video mode. You only need to press the shutter button once to start the video and again to end it.

So you will be able to mount the camera on a tripod and leave the phone while shooting. Another benefit of this mode is that switching between the front and rear cameras while recording video is possible using the currently available single mixed mode.

This new WhatsApp functionality is now undergoing testing, as are all the other new features. So don’t expect to see it anytime soon. The latest version of WhatsApp has been made available to a small group of beta testers, but since not many significant changes have been made to the user interface, it is expected that everyone will soon be able to access this new feature over the coming weeks.

Keep in mind that WhatsApp will also get new features such as a community tab, 32-person video calls, chat polls, and the ability to create groups with up to 1,024 users. Soon you will be able to send messages to yourself.

Soon you will be able to send a message to yourself

Recently, WhatsApp has got a lot of new features. And now it looks like we’ll soon be able to send messages to ourselves. Despite its silliness, it is incredibly useful.

Premium membership, the ability to secretly leave a group, and increase membership to 1000. It’s good that WhatsApp is speeding up its update cycles. There is a wacky function but it is incredibly useful in tests by service. As the name of the feature suggests, beta testers of WhatsApp versions 2.22.24.2 for Android and 22.23.0.70 for iOS can send messages to themselves. Yes, it is indeed possible, but it requires a lot of time-consuming steps.

Everyone has faced similar situations. Who, in fact, hasn’t given them a link via SMS or email because they couldn’t quickly remember or memorize it? Have you ever imagined sharing files or memos with yourself? So that you can find them more easily if you frequently use WhatsApp on multiple devices? This will be possible soon. This feature will already be available to some users, which indicates that its rollout is imminent.

Simply go to the discussion list or contact list to access it. You should use Contacts to start a conversation with yourself if you haven’t already. If you have already started a conversation with yourself, it will be easy to find it in the discussion list. It will be the only one with the caption, “Send to yourself.”

The primary competitor to WhatsApp is iMessage, which comes pre-installed on every iPhone. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently said that compared to Apple’s app, WhatsApp is “more private and secure”.
