No family has shaped the Bundesliga like that of the Hoeneß! For more than 50 years.
As a player, manager and president of FC Bayern, Uli Hoeneß (69) was German champion 24 times and cup winner 13 times. Brother Dieter (68) as a Bayern player five times champion and three times cup winner. As a manager of VfB Stuttgart, he was once a master. He later worked at Hertha BSC and in Wolfsburg.

Who is Sebastian Hoeneß?
Born in 1982 in Munich, twelve days after father Dieter scored the legendary header in the cup final against Nuremberg (4: 2) with a blood-soaked turban. Trained as a footballer in the youth of Stuttgart. Then he played for a long time for the amateurs of Hertha BSC, but did not make a Bundesliga game.
As a trainer, he worked for three years (2014–17) with the youth team at RB Leipzig and three years (2017–20) with FC Bayern. In 2020 he sensationally led Bayern’s “second” to the championship of the 3rd division (promotion to the 2nd division not possible). When Hoeneß went to Hoffenheim, the team immediately dismounted.

His son Florian (42) once played soccer in Ottobrunn, but he concentrated on meat processing from an early age. Today he runs the HoWe sausage factory founded by his father in Nuremberg.
The grandparents Erwin and Paula already had a butcher’s shop in Ulm. It doesn’t exist anymore today. But the Hoeneß saga continues – on all levels!
