OWN. Since the beginning of the week, the Carabinieri of the Egna Company have conducted an extensive verification service, checking hundreds of vehicles. The operations, aimed at ensuring compliance with traffic regulations, led to the reporting of two drivers for driving while intoxicated, following road accidents without injuries.
The first intervention, during the night, in Ora, on State Road 12, where the soldiers of the Salorno Carabinieri Station, assisted by the Egna Radiomobile Unit, intervened following an accident without injuries. The driver involved, a 28-year-old man born in Bolzano, was subjected to breath tests which revealed a alcohol rate equal to 1.83 g/1.65 g/l. The driving licence was immediately withdrawn and the Bolzano Judicial Authority was informed.
A second similar episode, without injuries, occurred in the evening, again on the SS12, in Laives. Also in this case, the driver born in 1948, resident in Bolzano, was found to be positive to the breath test with values of 1.69gr and 1.52gr. for him too, the military proceeded with the withdrawal of his license and the information to the judicial authorities.furthermore, the soldiers of the Ora Carabinieri station sanctioned a 41-year-old man, stopped in Ora along State Road 12. The man,driving a Ford Focus vehicle,was found to be without a driving license,revoked since March 2010. In compliance with current regulations, the vehicle was placed under administrative detention and entrusted to a designated custodian. The judicial authority was promptly informed of the provision.
