Born in a poor family, Lilima lost her parents when she was just four years old. After which she lived with her elder brother, but a mountain of sorrow fell on her when her brother sold her house in a drunken state.

After this she became strong enough to live on the streets at a young age. She says that she had to collect garbage on the streets all day long to get food and a roof to sleep on. It was as if he had nothing to do with education and school.

After spending a few years on the streets, a positive change in his life began when he got a permanent shelter with the help of an organization. After joining the NGO, he was taught to read and write. After this she also entered school and started studying. But the difficulties of life were not over yet. As soon as Lilima’s life came back on track, one of her aunts took her out of the institution and took her to her home.

She was happy living with her family, but soon her relatives started making her work, and not only that, she was even beaten if she did not work. In such a situation, her brother helped Lilima and sent her to Kilkari Rainbow Home located at Kashmere Gate, Delhi. Where Lilima lived for about 18 years. Here he again started reading, writing and dreaming.

Lilima says she came across Creative Services Support Group (CSSG) when she was living at Kilkari Rainbow Home. This group helps children above 18 years of age to become self-reliant. With the help of this group, children get a chance to join different training programs in which they can make their career in future.

With the help of one such CSSG group, Lilima got an opportunity to undergo chef training in a restaurant in Delhi. He used this opportunity very well and proved his capability through his hard work. By becoming a chef, Lilima has achieved such a position in this field that today she is the leader of a team of 30-40 people. And she is serving food made with her own hands to the food lovers.
