Enzo Fernandez, who won the 2022 FIFA World Cup with Argentina, was the most significant transfer on the last day of this transfer window. The star was signed by English Premier League club Chelsea from Portuguese club Benfica for €120 million (approximately INR 1065 crore). Chelsea spent the sixth-biggest transfer fee on Enzo. Chelsea have acquired eight players in this transfer window. 331 million Euros (approx. 2941 crore Indian Rupees) were spent.

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho joined Arsenal in English football. Matt Doherty joined Atletico Madrid from Tottenham and Marcel Sabister joined Manchester United from Bayern Munich. Champions League winner Keylor Navas has joined English club Nottingham Forest from PSG. Java Cancelo, one of the best defenders in world football, has also moved to Bayern. Apart from them, transfers of players have taken place in all the top clubs in European football this year.

In Indian football too, star transfers have taken place on the last day of the transfer window. The most important one is Danish Farooq’s move from Bengaluru FC to Kerala Blasters.
