Chelsea eliminate Aston Villa in the FA Cup

Chelsea advanced in the FA Cup by beating Aston Villa away from home 3-1 this Wednesday (7), in the ‘replay’ of the round of 16 stage, a victory that eases the pressure on coach Mauricio Pochettino.

Connor Gallagher (11′), Nicolas Jackson (21′) and Enzo Fernández (54′) scored for the Blues, while Moussa Diaby (90’+1) scored for Villa.

After two resounding defeats in the English Championship, to Liverpool (4-1) and Wolverhampton (4-2), an elimination in the World Cup would make Pochettino’s situation even more delicate.
