London : London-based English Premier League club Chelsea FC has appointed its new head coach after sacking German coach Thomas Tuchel. Chelsea has appointed English club Brighton and Hove Albion coach Graham Porter as their new coach. Chelsea management were mainly interested in bringing the English coach to London after Porter’s coaching for Brighton led the team to an all-time high in the Premier League. Chelsea announced in a statement that the team will begin training under Porter immediately.
Porter comes to the London club after three seasons in the coaching position of Brighton. The player, who participated in the second division clubs as a left wing back in football, later took off his boots. Porter then earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree. Porter enters the coaching field by coaching the Leeds University team. He then took charge as the technical director of the Ghana team at the 2007 Women’s World Cup. The world of football began to know Porter’s coaching skills when he raised the fourth class club called Ostasunds to the first division in Sweden.

Then in 2018, Porter will come to the EPL to lead Swansea City. Porter was then signed by Brighton for the 2019 season. In the next three years, the Dakshiniram club reached the highest position in the Premier League.
The team management decided to fire the Chelsea manager after the Croatian club Dinamo Zagreb lost in the UEFA Champions League. The London club ended the 2021-22 EPL season as the Champions League champions for the third time. But after 6 matches in the new season, the team is in sixth place with three wins, one draw and two losses. Chelsea lost the season against Leeds United and Southampton. Apart from the match against Tottenham Hotspur, the team management were unhappy with the rest of Chelsea’s performance. The German coach has won the Champions League, Super Cup and Club World Cup for Chelsea in the 2020-21 season in his one-and-a-half year career.

The English media, the Telegraph, reports that the team management and the players have lost faith in Tuchel. It is reported that the Chelsea players have lost faith in the German coach as the team’s performance has gone down along with dissatisfaction with bringing new players to the team. And the telegraph reports that the relationship established by the coach between some players is not so good. Tuchel’s coaching job comes less than 100 days after Roman Abramovich handed over ownership of Chelsea to new management Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital.
