Chemeru volcano erupts – Mandor number rises to 13

At least 10 people have been rescued after being trapped in Indonesia’s Semeru volcano.

Yesterday (December 4) 13 people were killed in a volcanic eruption. Many were injured.

A spokesman for the country’s Disaster Relief Organization released the details.

Villages near the volcano are surrounded by ash and smoke.

The volcano was reported to have spewed ash over an altitude of 12 kilometers.

Many people living in the affected areas have been evacuated.

However, rescue efforts were hampered by bad smoke.
