Like quite a few celebrities and artists, the actress Chen Amsalem also decided to express her opinion on the situation in the country, but the netizens were less connected to the way she did it and attacked her.
Amsalem uploaded to her Instagram page a photo holding a friend’s eye gel, which she promotes, and wrote: “Eyes are tired and sad in view of the situation in the country, but full of hope and faith that with God’s help it will be all right. Lucky that I have Simple’s eye gel that will make me feel a little radiant In this period. May it blur the blackness under my eyes that no one can hide from too many worries and thoughts.”
In a short time, Amsalem’s post was filled with comments criticizing and claiming that she is taking advantage of the situation in the country for marketing purposes.
“Embarrassing, this is a perfect example of disconnection,” wrote one of the surfers. Another added: “There is nothing like riding on a crisis in a nation for publicity.”
In the end, after causing an uproar, Amsalam removed the post. And in the story she posted, she wrote: “Mama, why did you fall on me? I’m in the middle of Pesach and I had no intention of being disrespectful. It’s allowed to make mistakes and correct them.”
