Chen Tang Jie Powers Through to SEA games Semifinals, Eyes Another Gold Medal

A dominant performance from mixed doubles pair Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei has propelled them into the semi-finals of the SEA Games, as the world No. 3 duo continue their quest for gold.

Chen Tang Jie,a seasoned competitor with a prior SEA Games gold medal from 2021,demonstrated his eagerness to compete after being rested during the men’s team event. He and Ee Wei secured their semi-final berth with a decisive 21-12, 21-14 victory over Singapore’s Terry Hee and Jin Yu Jia at Thammasat University in Pathum Thani on Thursday.

“I feel really excited to play in the SEA Games with Ee wei,” Tang Jie stated. “When we knew we would be competing, we felt that we had a big duty.
