Chennai, – The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is gearing up for the launch of its much-anticipated ‘Chandrayaan-3’ mission as the countdown officially begins today. After successfully completing all tests and test runs, the ‘LVM3M-4’ rocket, carrying the fully equipped spacecraft, is now in its final stage of refueling.

The ‘Interplanetary’ instrument on board ‘Chandrayaan-3’ comprises three main components. The rocket’s ‘propulsion’ system is designed to transport the rover and lander to a distance of 100 km on the moon, showcasing its long-distance capabilities.

The testing phase also involved ensuring seamless radio frequency communication between the rocket, lander, and rover sections. This significant milestone signifies that all components are fully functional and ready for the impending mission.

The ISRO has announced a 25 ½-hour countdown, starting today at 1 pm, in preparation for the rocket’s launch from Launch Pad 2 at the Satish Dhawan Space Research Center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. The liftoff is scheduled for tomorrow (Friday) at precisely 2:35:17 PM.

Chandrayaan-3, India’s third lunar exploration mission, is expected to take the nation’s space program to new heights. ISRO scientists believe that this mission will place India at the forefront of space exploration.
