Actor Vishal had borrowed Rs 21 crore 29 lakh from Anbu Cheliyan’s Tower Films for the production of his production company Vishal Film Factory. Subsequently, the loan was accepted and repaid by Leica. The loan agreement between Vishal and Leica guarantees that Leica will transfer the rights to all of Vishal’s films until full repayment of the loan.

In this context, Leica has filed a case in the Chennai High Court seeking an injunction restraining the release of the film Veerame Vagai Soodum in other languages ​​and the sale of satellite and OTD rights without paying the Rs 21 crore 29 lakh due to them.
When the case came up for hearing before Judge Senthilkumar Ramamurthy, it was informed that the film has already been released as no restraining order has been issued in the case.

Following this, the judge directed Vishal’s party to deposit Rs 15 crore in the Nationalized Bank in the name of the Chief Registrar of the High Court as a permanent deposit within three weeks and directed him to submit the deposit receipt to the Chief Registrar of the High Court and adjourned the hearing till March 22.
