Tongo is an island nation in the Pacific Ocean. There are various small islands in the country of Tongo with a population of one lakh. Volcanoes are found on the islands and below the sea. On the 14th, a volcanic eruption erupted on the island of Hongo Tongo. The volcanic eruption at an altitude of about 20 km in a radius of 260 km into the sea was shocking. The volcanic eruption caused a tsunami wave to form beneath the sea, causing seawater to seep into the island’s inhabited areas.

The public has been advised to move to safer places as warnings of a possible volcanic eruption on the island again. The epicenter was reported below the Pacific Ocean floor, however; no tsunami alert was issued. At 8:15 pm on Saturday, the Meteorological Department at Nungambakkam in Chennai reported a tremor with an atmospheric pressure gauge. Researchers have predicted that a volcanic eruption under the sea in Tongo will have an impact on climate change in the future.
