The trial run of the Vande Bharat train to be operated between Chennai and Mysore started today at Chennai Central.

The Vande Bharat train project, which is a high-speed train on the Indian Railways, has already been started on four routes, and the fifth one is going to be run between Chennai and Mysore. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch it in Karnataka on the 11th.

The train, manufactured at Chennai ICF, was handed over to Southern Railway last week. After this, a trial run from Chennai to Mysore and from Mysore to Chennai was started today to test the train before the public travel.

This train left Chennai Central Railway Station at 5.50 am today and will reach Jolarpet at 8.50 am and KSR Bengaluru railway station at 10.25 am. It will stop there for 5 minutes and depart at 10.30 and reach Mysore at 12.30.

Following this, the train departs from Mysore at 1.05 pm and reaches Chennai at 7.45 pm. It covers a distance of 504 km in 6.40 hrs. It is reported that this train will run at a speed of 75.60 kmph.
