Chennai: In a consultation meeting with airlines, it was confirmed that the newly constructed modern airport terminal in Chennai will be opened next month.
The construction of integrated terminals at the Chennai airport at a cost of Rs 2,400 crore started in September 2018.
With a total area of 2.36 lakh square meters, the number of passengers benefited by the terminal will increase from 1.7 crore to 3.5 crore annually. The airport is expected to open next month.
In this regard, airport officials said:
A consultative meeting was held yesterday under the chairmanship of Chennai Airport Director, representatives of airlines, CISF and officials of various departments. In this, the facilities to be provided to the passengers, the new modern terminal and the opening of the flat vehicle were also discussed.
Of this, the new state-of-the-art terminal is set to open next month; At that time, it was assured that the multi-storey car park would also be opened.
