Cheongdo-gun and Gyeongsan City signed a business agreement to link public transportation buses. On the 3rd, Cheongdo-gun (Governor Kim Ha-soo) and Gyeongsan City (Mayor Cho Hyeon-il) held a meeting at the Cheongdo-gun Office on the rational adjustment of routes and improvement of public transportation services prior to the implementation of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk common living area metropolitan transfer system for mutual development of both cities and revitalization of public transportation. A bus connection business agreement was signed.

This business agreement ceremony was attended by public transportation officials from Gyeongsan City Hall, improving the efficiency of the city bus operation system to improve the convenience of city and county residents and revitalizing public transportation in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk common living area, strengthening the connectivity of the Cheongdo-Gyeongsan route, and new public transportation. An agreement was reached to improve public transportation services, including the introduction of means and infrastructure.

In addition, in order to ensure safe operation of public transportation, establish transportation order, and improve service, we decided to faithfully manage and supervise transportation business operators to prevent operating violations such as arbitrary increase in the number of vehicles, non-compliance with dispatch intervals, cancellations, and midway stops.

The two organizations plan to hold the first working-level promotion council meeting this month to mutually discuss issues related to out-of-hours routes, bus information systems, and other service improvement needs. With this agreement, the Cheongdo-Gyeongsan city bus operation route will be mutually expanded. It is expected that the adjustment will lead to the revitalization of public transportation use in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk community living area.

Gyeongsan Mayor Cho Hyun-il said, “I hope that Gyeongsan City and Cheongdo-gun will coexist and develop together through the public transportation revitalization agreement, which is being promoted as part of mutual development and coexistence between local governments.”

Cheongdo County Governor Kim Ha-su said, “Through the bus connection business agreement, we will not only solidify the cooperation system for the Daegu-Gyeongbuk common living area, but will also continue to promote policies that will allow residents to conveniently use public transportation in the future.”
