Cheongdo-gun conducted regular safety training for winter workers. Cheongdo-gun (Governor Kim Ha-su) conducted regular safety training on the 6th for public officials and temporary workers to prevent safety accidents during the winter. This training was planned to recognize in advance the risk factors that may arise due to frequent snowfall and icy roads in winter and to prevent accidents.

The training was conducted based on practical cases on the main causes and prevention methods under the theme of ‘Prevention of Fall Accidents’ and focused on what to watch out for at work sites and how to use safety equipment correctly.

In particular, practical guidance methods were presented so that supervisors could recognize the importance of worker safety management and carry out direct preventive activities in the field.

Kim Dong-gi, deputy governor of Cheongdo, said, “As fall accidents occur frequently in the winter, safety education to prevent them is more important than anything else.” He added, “We plan to continue to implement systematic education and management by considering the safety of workers as the top priority. .” he said.

Cheongdo-gun conducts various safety trainings for workers every month and takes the lead in creating a safe working environment and preventing accidents.

Meanwhile, Gaknam-myeon, Cheongdo-gun (Governor Kim Ha-su) celebrated the New Year on the 3rd by visiting 21 senior centers in the district and communicating with local seniors.

Choi Seong-ho, head of Gaknam-myeon, visited each senior center to convey New Year’s greetings to the elderly and understand the matters necessary for running the senior center, and took steps to improve people’s livelihood in preparation for the New Year.

This visit was planned to listen directly to the voices of local seniors through careful attention and consideration to senior centers in the district and to actively reflect their opinions in future community development projects.

In each senior center, there were opinions on aging of facilities, lack of space due to increase in number of users, replacement of items, etc. In some senior centers, there were also opinions on replacement of equipment and supplies due to many aging home appliances.

Choi Seong-ho, head of Gaknam-myeon, said, “I believe that improving the quality of life of local seniors is an important task for our community. “Based on the opinions I heard directly through visits to senior centers, I will do my best to make senior centers in Gaknam-myeon more convenient and safe spaces,” he said.
