Cheongdo-gun held the 2025 County Government Work Report Meeting. Cheongdo-gun (Governor Kim Ha-su) held the ‘2025 County Government Work Report Meeting’ for 20 departments including the headquarters, direct organizations, business offices, and Cheongdo Public Corporation in the first conference room of the county office for 7 days from the 29th and began full-scale preparations for next year’s work.
This report meeting was held to share the major achievements of this year’s military administration and discuss the effectiveness and feasibility of next year’s departmental work plans and new policy projects, as well as ways to secure budget and future plans.
The military is focusing its administrative power on improving the visible results of the three major future visions: △Lifelong Learning Happiness City, △Culture, Arts, and Tourism Hub City, and △Agricultural Transformation, as well as the implementation rate of 83 pledged projects, and on promoting local pressing issues and overcoming the low birth rate.
In addition, the policy is to focus on the recovery of the people’s economy, which is closely related to the lives of the people, resolving inconveniences in their daily lives, and creating a future growth engine through a military administration that works together with the people.
We plan to accelerate the implementation of major priority projects such as ▲creation of Natural Dream Park ▲creation of Regional Vitality Town ▲Urban Regeneration New Deal Project ▲Cheongdo Sangsangmaru Construction Project ▲Establishment of Lifestyle Culture Complex Center ▲Establishment of Forest Healing Center ▲Construction of Public Health Center ▲Construction of Cheongdo Station ▲Improvement of Living Conditions in Vulnerable Areas, etc., and increase the progress rate.
In addition, we plan to make active efforts to: △designate a special education development zone, △disseminate new climate change technology smart agricultural technology, △create a healthy pregnancy and childbirth environment, △promote a culture that encourages the influx of young people and marriage, and △strengthen the response to Unmun Dam (climate response dam).
The new policy projects focus on policy directions that can specifically realize the 8th local government’s administrative policy, and a total of 122 projects were discovered, including: △Delivery lifelong learning △Promotion of designation of lifelong learning cities for the disabled △Holding of modern culture festivals △Development of Yucheon Cultural Village tourism resources △Development of Cheongdo-eupseong night-time tourism content △Cheongdo excellent agricultural products quality certification system △Support for establishment of agricultural products low-temperature distribution center △Establishment of ‘Mirihaebom’ smart farm △Establishment of youth cultural complex 054 Space △Support for marriage incentives △Support for postpartum care expenses △Support for fetal malformation examination expenses.
Kim Ha-su, the governor of Cheongdo County, said, “With the passage of the original plan for the second supplementary budget, we have opened an era of a budget of 700 billion won for the first time in the history of the county government. We will continue to actively challenge ourselves with more public offering projects and make every effort to secure national and provincial budgets.” He also said, “We will thoroughly monitor the new policy directions of the central government and Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, utilize various funds appropriately, seek development strategies for the county, and do our best to realize the happiness of the county residents and the development of Cheongdo by enhancing the brand value of Cheongdo County.”
He also added, “Through this report, we will not only reexamine the projects promoted by the 8th local government to ensure that they produce tangible results, but we will also actively work to discover policies that the people can feel and create a better Cheongdo tomorrow than today.”
