Cheongdo-gun is holding a joint briefing session on the ‘Cheongdo Natural Dream Park Development Project’. Cheongdo-gun (Governor Kim Ha-su) announced that it will hold a joint briefing session on the Cheongdo Natural Dream Park Industrial Complex Development Plan at 2:00 PM on the 30th at the Dugok-ri Welfare Center in Maejeon-myeon.

Cheongdo County held a resident briefing session in November of last year and a compensation briefing session in April of this year. Through this joint briefing session, it plans to explain the industrial complex plan (draft), environmental impact assessment (draft), disaster impact assessment (draft), and traffic impact assessment (draft) and collect additional opinions from attending residents and stakeholders.

Key details related to the joint briefing session, including the industrial complex plan, can be viewed at the Planning and Budget Office of Cheongdo County Office and Maejeon-myeon Office until the 25th of next month, and residents’ opinions can be submitted in writing or by mail by October 2nd.

Cheongdo Natural Dream Park Industrial Complex is a site of approximately 290,000 m2 in Deoksan-ri, Maejeon-myeon, Dugok-ri, and is expected to house food and beverage manufacturing facilities utilizing eco-friendly agricultural products and logistics facilities.

In addition, life care support facilities such as healing centers, experience workshops, hotels, and movie theaters, as well as dormitories to create living conditions, will be built.

Following the announcement of the Gyeongsangbuk-do Industrial Complex Designation Plan in April, Cheongdo-gun plans to proceed with the approval process of the Gyeongsangbuk-do Industrial Complex Plan Review Committee in the first half of 2025 through consultation with relevant organizations.

Kim Ha-su, the governor of Cheongdo County, said, “We expect that by creating an industrial complex centered on real-demand companies with various functions such as production, distribution, experience, and sales of eco-friendly agricultural products, we will create new growth engines for local industries and local jobs, and greatly contribute to revitalizing the local economy.”

He added, “We will continue to listen to the opinions of local residents to ensure that the industrial complex is promoted smoothly, and we will create the best industrial complex through advice from companies hoping to move in and experts.”
