Cheongdo-gun won the ‘Grand Prize’ in the Instagram category of the ‘Social i-Awards’. Cheongdo-gun won the Instagram Grand Prize in the local government county/district category at the ‘Social i-AWARD 2024’, an awards ceremony for innovation in social internet services in Korea hosted by the Korea Internet Professionals Association (KIPFA).
The ‘Social Eye Awards’, now in its 6th year, is the largest and most prestigious awards ceremony in Korea that annually selects innovative and exemplary service cases utilizing SNS media platforms and evaluates them through a review process by each evaluation panel in each SNS field.
The evaluation was conducted over a period of one month from June to July, and the final winners were selected through a total of four stages: preliminary, main, final, and final judging, by comprehensively assessing 15 indicators in five categories: ▲service, ▲visual, ▲brand, ▲marketing, and ▲content.
Cheongdo Hot Place, the official Instagram channel for Cheongdo Culture and Tourism, produces unique and differentiated content with useful travel-related information on major tourist attractions, festivals, restaurants, accommodations, and campsites, and periodically holds various events to encourage subscribers to visit the channel.
In particular, the evaluation panel highly praised the friendly information delivery of the Bau PD concept using ‘Bau, the transforming fighting bull’, a character symbolizing Cheongdo, the trendy and sensual image, the design with visibility, and the production of reels using parodies.
Kim Ha-su, the governor of Cheongdo County, said, “I am delighted that our efforts to deliver various news about culture, art, and tourism in a friendly manner through social media have been recognized.” He added, “We will continue to work hard to promote the charms of Cheongdo County by producing unique content in line with rapidly changing promotional trends.”
