Ayushi S. Krishna, a native of Valiyakuzhi, Kanjoor, Chepad, won the Muay Thai Boxing World Championship held in Thailand. The competition was organized by the International Thai Boxing Federation. Muay Thai is a world famous martial art that originated in Thailand in the 18th century. It is also a sport recognized by the International Olympic Committee. Ayushi won the silver medal in the 56 kg category of girls competition by defeating the contestants from different countries.
Ayushi is the second of the three children of Unnikrishna Pillai and Sangeeta in Chepad Kanjoor Valiyakuzhi Krishna Geet. He has studied martial arts such as Kung Fu, Karate and Taekwondo. Bathani is a 9th standard student of Balikamatham High School. She is a student of Muttam Shiva Martial Arts School.
