Youssef Chermiti, ex-Sporting and now Everton player, used his social networks to denounce the case of racism which he was allegedly involved in during the game between Portugal and Italy (2-1), to count towards the Elite League U-20.
«Very sad about what happened today. I know that nothing will happen to the player who called me a monkey, but I just want to leave here the frustration that my colleagues and I are suffering at the moment. Players and fans continue to say what they want during games and referees do nothing. It doesn’t matter the color, size or nationality, we just want to play football. Say no to racism,” the striker wrote on his official Instagram account.
Chermiti did not, however, reveal the name of the player involved in this alleged case of racism. Remember that Portugal lost 2-1.
