Chhatra League’s extortion in the name of Juba Dal, 5 people handed over to the police station

Allegations of extortion have been made against Chhatra League leaders in the name of National Youth Party. Gulshan Thana Chhatra League leader Sabbir and five people have been handed over to Gulshan Thana police on charges of extortion.

On Saturday (August 31) around 12.30 pm, five people including Gulshan Thana Chhatra League leader Sabbir went to the house of Mostafizur Rahman Caesar on Road No. 62 of Gulshan-2 to extort money.

Sharif Uddin Jewel, convener of Dhaka Metropolitan North Juba Dal, got to know this news through BNP’s Central Information Secretary Azizul Bari Helal and Juba Dal’s Central General Secretary Nurul Islam Nayan. After that, Jewel immediately sent the Jubodal leaders of Gulshan and Banani police stations there to catch the extortionists. Later, they arrested the five people along with Sabbir from Caesar’s house and handed them over to the Gulshan Police Station on charges of extortion.

Sharif Uddin Jewel, the convenor of Dhaka Metropolitan Youth League, told the media about 1:00 pm on Saturday.
