Chicago: The Chicago River in the US turns green on St. Patrick’s Day, delighting visitors.

St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated annually on March 17 in the state of Illinois in the United States to commemorate the 5th century priest St. Patrick.

During this celebration, people here have a habit of wearing green clothes. As part of this, the work to turn the Chicago River green in the city of Chicago took place yesterday.

The green dye was mixed in the river by motors carried in large boats. Not only locals but also tourists flock here to see the green Chicago River.

People who came to see the river turned colorful enjoyed painting their pet dogs green.

While dyeing the river green has been going on since 1962, St. Patrick’s Day celebration was interrupted due to the corona virus in 2020 and the dyeing of the river was stopped.
