Immediately after the celebration of the ritual of Eid Al-Adha, in an atmosphere marked by jubilation, serenity, fraternity and conviviality between the inhabitants of the areas affected by this natural disaster, the local authorities, in exemplary synergy with the beneficiaries, have mobilized intensely, through the various local authorities of the province, with a view to maintaining a sustained pace of this reconstruction operation.

The aim being to ensure rigorous monitoring and careful and detailed supervision of construction and rehabilitation operations, while ensuring that field visits are increased and that the necessary construction materials are available, in order to guarantee the accelerating the pace of making this vital social project a reality.

At the level of the various territorial communities of the province, the local authorities and the various stakeholders place particular emphasis on compliance with the regulations in force regarding construction and reconstruction, we noted on site.

Indeed, the parties involved in this Project are striving with determination and commitment to ensure that the construction, reconstruction and renovation work on houses totally or partially demolished by the earthquake is carried out in perfect harmony with the architectural character and landscape of the area, while strictly observing the local specificities intrinsic to this part of the national territory.

In this wake, particular attention is paid to compliance with safety standards and anti-seismic prevention, while calling on local techniques and expertise, and the most suitable methods and environmentally friendly construction practices.

In addition, the specialized committees provide the populations concerned with the necessary technical assistance and effective practical advice to accelerate and optimize construction and renovation operations.

Local authorities, for their part, are sparing no effort to mobilize all the human and logistical resources necessary to respond quickly, efficiently and proactively to the expectations of citizens, by providing them with construction plans that respect the specificities of the area and facilitating the establishment in nearby areas of Warehouses for suppliers of construction materials such as gravel, cement, iron and others.

In the commune of Assi Fel Mal, more precisely in douar “Tafroukht”, the progress of the reconstruction work on the houses destroyed by the earthquake is palpable, making it possible to transform the area into a huge open-air construction site.

In a statement to MAP on this occasion, Mr. Khaliji Aamara, resident of the “Talamenzou” douar and beneficiary of financial aid from the State allocated to the rehabilitation work of partially collapsed houses, affirmed that the construction work of his home reached a high level, i.e. 95%, noting that his house will be ready to be inhabited in the next two weeks.

Armed with joy and enthusiasm, Mr. Aamara did not fail to salute the crucial roles played by the provincial and local authorities as well as all the stakeholders concerned to ensure the success of this project, in strict application of the High Instructions from His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

Same story with Mohamed Annamich, resident of the “Tafroukht” douar in the commune of Assif El Mal, who said that the construction work on the houses affected by the earthquake is taking place in good conditions.

Mr. Annamich, beneficiary of the financial aid intended to overcome the impact of the earthquake, highlighted the quality of continuous supervision and the relevance of the major role played by the provincial authorities, who monitor, permanently and in a manner regularly, to provide all forms of assistance to targeted populations, and to better support them during each stage of this crucial social project.
