A dream so lived by many young people eager to establish themselves as active actors and to contribute, as is due, to the multiple efforts of edification and progress carried out in Morocco, under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, and to which the INDH, thanks to its philosophy, its genesis and its pragmatism, has been able to give substance by allowing this fringe of society to flourish and achieve its financial autonomy.

One of the examples of these young people who have experienced this radical transformation of their lives is indeed Farhat Saloua, alias “Areoua” to all those who knew her and who know very well the degree of her commitment and perseverance allowing her to succeed, thanks to the financial support of the Initiative and the support and supervision of the Foundation for Research, Development, and Innovation in Engineering Sciences (FRDISI), in setting up her project under the name “Espace Areoua SARL” specializing in advertising, printing and design.

Included in the framework of INDH Program 3 “Improving Income and Economic Inclusion of Youth”, this project required the mobilization of a total budget of 168,860 DH, including 100,000 DH as a contribution from the Initiative and the remainder to be borne by the project leader. It is the result of a fruitful partnership between the Initiative and the Foundation for Research, Development, and Innovation in Engineering Sciences (FRDISI).

This project, which aims to offer a quality service at a price that is perfectly in line with the purchasing power of customers, and to improve income and create employment for young people, includes the acquisition of equipment and facilities at the “Espace Aeroua” agency.

In a statement to MAP on this occasion, Saloua Farhat recalled that her project concerns the manufacture of billboards, and everything related to the world of printing, noting that the idea of setting up this project dates back to 2019, with this ambition of becoming a young entrepreneur. She welcomed the considerable support offered to her by the INDH as well as the support and monitoring she was able to benefit from from the FRDISI, expressing her deep gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI for the special interest that the Sovereign continues to give to youth. Through the Initiative’s programs, particularly the one on “improving the income and economic inclusion of young people”, and within the framework of the partnership with the World Bank, this program through the “Support for Entrepreneurship” axis aims to create businesses and employment, recalled Ms. Garati Amina, in charge of the “Improving the Income and Economic Inclusion of Young People” program at the Social Action Division (DAS) of the province of Chichaoua.

She also reviewed the three fundamental stages of this program, namely: the stage of “skills development” through training workshops for young people on the fundamental principles of business creation as well as the marketing of their products and services), that of “support” (financial support for young people can reach up to 60% of the overall cost of the project, i.e. 100,000 DH for a single person and 200,000 DH for a project jointly led by two people) and finally, the stage of “accompaniment” which is also so important.

And to continue that after the creation of their companies, the young people benefit, for a period of two years, from support and supervision in order to guarantee the continuity of their projects. “Within the framework of the program for the improvement of income and economic inclusion of young people, the number of beneficiaries of the training workshops amounts to more than 495 young people (men and women), in addition to the fact that more than 135 companies have been created at the provincial level and thereby, the offer of employment opportunities for other young people and the contribution to the development efforts undertaken at the level of this part of the national territory”, concluded Ms. Garati.

INDH Program 3 “Improving the income and economic inclusion of young people” is based on an approach that consists of strengthening the employability of this social category, supporting entrepreneurship and developing a new generation of projects likely to enhance local potential by adopting the sector approach. Targeting young people aged 18 to 34, this program aims to increase the income of beneficiaries, by launching a new generation of economic inclusion projects for young people promoting their employability and facilitating access to entrepreneurship.
