Chico Reveals Factors Behind Defeat by Hong Kong Representative of Indonesian Blood

jpnn.com – Indonesian men’s singles badminton player Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo ended his struggle at the 2024 Korea Open in the first round.

The Jayapura-born player was forced to acknowledge the superiority of Hong Kong representative Jason Gunawan.

Competing at the Mokpo Indoor Stadium, Wednesday (28/8/2024), Chico lost two straight games with a score of 17-21, 15-21.

After the match, Chico could not hide his disappointment with this defeat.

He felt that the strategy that had been prepared did not work well on the field.

“From the initial strategy, I wanted to try to control the game first and play more aggressively.”

“However, what I expected did not work out. Instead, I was controlled more by my opponent,” said Chico in an official statement.

Furthermore, Chico used this minor result as evaluation material for the next tournament.
