Interim government chief advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus has sought the cooperation of the Swiss government to bring back money smuggled from Bangladesh.

On Thursday (August 29), Swiss Ambassador Reto Rengli called on the Chief Adviser at the State Guest House Yamuna to seek this assistance.

Pointing out that a huge amount of money has been smuggled out of Bangladesh, Professor Yunus said, ‘It is very important to bring back this money.’ At that time he asked the Swiss ambassador about the way to bring back the smuggled money.

In this regard, the ambassador said, Switzerland always adheres to globally accepted procedures and standards. We are willing to cooperate in line with the proposals made in recent years.

He said Switzerland will support the interim government and strengthen economic ties with Bangladesh. I really hope that the business environment in Bangladesh will be better.

The Swiss ambassador expressed concern about the current situation in Myanmar’s Rakhine state. Professor Yunus said that the current government wants to develop young Rohingya leadership in Rohingya camps.
