Chief Adviser’s Special Envoy Lutfe Siddiqui has arrived in Dhaka

On September 4, the Cabinet Department issued a notification appointing Lutfe Siddiqui, former managing director of the International Association of Investment Management Professionals-CFA Institute, as the Special Envoy on International Affairs to the Chief Advisor to the Interim Government.

Appointed in an advisory capacity, Lutfe Siddiqui is excited to take on the new responsibilities. After meeting the Chief Adviser, he said, ‘I am thrilled to be here and the Chief Adviser himself briefed me on the scope of work’.

Lutfe Siddiqui was showered with greetings after assuming the new duties. Thanking the well-wishers, the Special Envoy of the Chief Adviser added, ‘I am grateful for the way people from all walks of life have welcomed me’.

Lutfe Siddiqui also said, ‘I will have to talk to many to set our economic reform agenda to encourage inward investment, maintain relations with foreign investors at the highest level, and accordingly. In addition, I will discuss with other advisors whether I can use my international network to help in important areas.

The Chief Adviser has given him the freedom to work, the Special Envoy added, ‘It is great to have the opportunity to play as a midfielder, striker or defender as per the needs of the team on international issues’.
