The Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) condemned the attack on the chief commissioner Milton Morales Figueroamurdered in the municipality of Coacalco, Mexico state.
Through social networks, the head of the department, Pablo Vazquez He regretted the death of his companion, in what he described as a cowardly attack.
“I regret to inform you that as a result of a cowardly attack in Coacalco, State of Mexico, my colleague and friend Chief Commissioner Milton Morales Figueroa lost his life,” he wrote.

He also warned that the case will not go unpunished and that work is already underway in coordination with the State Prosecutor’s Office and the State Security Secretariat of Mexico to identify and arrest those responsible.

According to initial reports, the chief commissioner was off duty, near the Coacalco Centro neighborhood, when a person approached and fired a shot against him and fled the scene.

Paramedics who came to the site diagnosed the 40-year-old element without vital signsby gunshot to the head, for which reason the area was cordoned off and the Public Ministry agent was informed for the corresponding expert services.
“I send my warmest regards to his family, and I want them to know that they can count on us in this Secretariat and that we will not rest until the attackers are arrested. We will not take a step back,” added the head of the SSC.
