Chief Minister MK Stalin’s condolences on the death of singer Manika Vinayagam

Manikka Vinayagam has acted in character roles in films including Thiruda Thirudi, Kambiram and Perazhagan.

Popular playback singer Manika Vinayagam died of a heart attack last evening. He is 73 years old.

He started his film career with the song ‘Kannukkulla Oruthi’ in the 2001 film ‘Dil’ and has sung over 800 film songs in various languages. He has also sung over 15,000 devotional and folk songs. He was the son of the legendary Bharata dance teacher Valuvoor Ramayana.

Actors and actresses have expressed their condolences over his death. The funeral is taking place today
