(Rao Dilshad) Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz visited Sheikhupura Garments City where the training of the first batch of the project to make women economically empowered and skilled was completed. Women were given financial assistance in the form of scholarships, training completion certificates and job letters. On this occasion, the women thanked the Chief Minister of Punjab and offered prayers.
This is the first batch of women to complete training under the Women Skilling Program for the first time across Punjab.
Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz while talking to the women said that the purpose of making you skilled is that you become a giver and not a taker and do not need anyone. Encouragement, confidence and opportunity have been given, inshallah garments training centers will be built in every tehsil so that my girls don’t have to travel far from home.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif added that I am proud of every daughter, you are the honor and glory of your house, no one will consider you weak after becoming an artist, I am very happy on your journey of development, I am very happy that you learned this skill and now you will be able to live with confidence, a woman does not have to extend her hands to anyone and she can earn a decent job on her own, this was the aim of this project, development of the women of Punjab in every field including education, health, employment, sports. And to create an example of prosperity.
