Chief Minister Stalin’s fear of Minister Senthil Balaji becoming an approver in investigation: Insights from VHP President in Rameswaram

RAMESWARAM: VHP President S. Vedantam has accused Chief Minister Stalin of being fearful that Minister Senthil Balaji may become an approver in the investigation of the executive branch. These claims were made during a recent press conference held by the VHP in Rameswaram.

Vedantam alleged that the DMK government is attempting to disrupt the culture and tradition of the Chidambaram Nataraja Temple, in violation of a Supreme Court verdict. He highlighted that the Dikshitars have been traditionally performing puja and abhishekam at the temple, as stated in Article 26 of the Constitution. The Supreme Court had dismissed a case filed by the previous Tamil Nadu government, ruling in favor of the Dikshidar community.

The VHP president slammed the current government, suggesting that their actions display hatred towards certain communities and are both unconstitutional and anti-spiritual. He criticized Chief Minister Stalin and Charities Minister Shekhar Babu for allegedly disregarding the sentiments of temple devotees.

Vedantam warned that both Chief Minister Stalin and Minister Shekhar Babu would face the consequences of their actions, referencing the saying “the king will kill on that day, the goddess will stand and kill.”

Drawing a comparison, Vedantam mentioned the imprisonment of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa and Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Sisodia, who abided by the law without protesting. He questioned why Minister Senthil Balaji is refusing to meet with the enforcement inquiry and suggested that his performance surpasses that of world actors, garnering a possible “Dadasagib” award.

The VHP president raised concerns about the government’s failure to take action against the Rameswaram Ramanathaswamy temple official, despite continuous protests by the public and various political parties. He hinted at an ulterior motive behind the government’s inaction and promised that the truth would be revealed soon.

The press conference was attended by VHP Joint General Secretary RG Ramasuppu and Zonal Organizer Saravanan. The VHP continues to advocate for the preservation of culture and tradition in the face of what they perceive as unconstitutional actions by the DMK government.
